Default Any significant drop changes after the patch?

Quote:
Updated monster and loot spawns in Sage Lands, Watchtower Coast, Frozen Forest, The Scar, Vulture Drifts, Snake Dance, and Ettin’s Back, and for quests Iron Horse War Machine, The Monk’s Path, and Seeking the Seer.

Fixed issues with last week's update that could cause loot drops to completely stop for some players after repeated map entries, and substantially improved the loot system so that only the most extreme forms of farming will cause monsters to start to run low on loot.
With most updates, a lot of people are angry their favorite farming spots are nerfed. Since there haven't been any claims that drops have changed (for better or worse), anybody care to report their experience with drops post patch?

Im especially interested in how ANet is going to determine what "extreme farming." I'd rather not see something like lvl 24 mobs start to drop 30 gold, all white items, etc after a while. Anybody have any ideas or info about this?

Edit: This is just from a few tries at one of the ascension missions, but I seem to be seeing a lot more armor drops during the mission than I did with previous chars going through ascension. Out of 3 tries, I got 2 purple armor, someone got a gold, and about 3 other purple dropped. In addition, I got a purple bow and hammer. Bit strange....

I agree with the Ascension mission dropping. I got 2 purple within 2 minutes on Elona.

BTW: How much would one of the new scrolls be worth?

My E/mo who had not been getting much of anything at all, and even had gotten NOTHING for quite a long time is getting drops again. I only checked for a little bit last night, so can't say anything about the rate or quality, but at least stuff is DROPPING again. So thumbs up for me

Ahh, I love how quiet the whole "that's just not happening! You botter!" crowd has become.

I went to bed before the patch was streamed. But before I quit for the night, though, I had an excellent farming run...

Anyway, as previously stated, I don't 'farm' in the same manner as others, so if anything, that's why my experience has been completely different.

Congrats on getting your patch, you botter.
